I Am Off

I am taking a short break starting tomorrow until next weekend. I am off to Wollongong to meet my friend Shekh and then to Sydney. This is going to be my first experience to drive alone out of Victoria in a long 12 hours drive. On my way back I plan to stop over at few places such as Wagga Wagga, Echuca and Lakes Entrance but that will depend on my time and whether I still have some money left... Travelling is very costly too here.

I will be online from time to time.

Recipe Without Name

Lately I am too lazy to cook... most of the time I just grabbed anything that is available from the fridge or the kitchen cabinet. And today is no different.. I didn't take my breakfast and lunch... the reason.. dah jemu makan makanan yang sama. Then I am busy this few days try to finish few things... Luckily today I found a web site that provide all the data about natural disaster from all around the world..

While reading all the data, my tummy dah berbunyi sebab tak makan apa-apa since morning. I remember that I bought a tuna steak yesterday from Safeway. Tak tau nak masak apa so I just throw all the ingredients, tumbuk sikit and marinate the fish. Then I pan grilled... I baked some potatoes that I mixed with herbs (coriander, chives and butter). Then I blanched some asparagus and broccoli. (petua supaya sayur tak tukar warna bila di stim or blanch.... add some salt).

Then I prepared some sauce to go with the dish. Since I ada sebotol black bean sauce.. I just use it lah..

My New Lappy And Perfume

I've been planning since last month to get another small lappy for myself because the one I have right now is already at it end of its life. At first I plan to buy the Sony Vaio TZ series with an 11 inch screen but then it is too expensive here. Then I found this small laptop I called it MiniLappy.. It's even smaller then A4 size paper or even Vaio TZ series with a 7 inch screen but comes with a big features such as Intel processor, WiFi, Ethernet port, modem, SD card reader, webcam, VGA output to connect to TV, monitor or projector, mic and speaker. It runs on either Linux or Windows XP... [good enough for me]

Around the Como Heritage House

Como Heritage House built in 1948 has become an attraction to many Australian. Ask me why.. I am not sure... for me it is just a simple and ordinary house but maybe the owner was somebody. Unfortunately I am not allowed to shoot anything inside the house. So this was what I got from the outside... Since last Saturday was an Australian Day or July the 7th in America and 31 August in Malaysia so everyone took a time for outing, tied the knot, watching the Australia Open and shopping since the Stocktake sales is still going on till the end of this month.

Oh yess. this house is just a walking distance from where I live..

Meerkat

Last night I was watching this documentary about Meerkat and I remember that I saw this little cute creatures in the zoo. First I thought was why the one on TV was bigger then the one I saw in the zoo. Then I did some google and actually this adorable animal is as big as a normal domestic cat and even smaller.

One question come into my mind then, is this animal suitable to be as a pet just like ferret. Actually Meercat can be as a good pet too except that it do not behave as good as a cat.. They are kind of animals that is so courious and they like to live in a group. Still, I like this cute little animal in my backyard one day

My weight and my BMI... where do I sit.. ideal.. but I want to reduce my calories intake to 2366

Research from the University of Missouri showed that every men and women want to loose weight but women choose to loose more. But that research was in 2005... what about now?

So do u think men are more concern about their weight than women? Tengok semua men pi gym, cita pasal gym... tapi fomfuan kurang cita pasal gym.. ker sbb fomfuan loose weight ngan diet? laki sbb nak tunjuk badan-badan yang montok-montok.. eh montok ker bukan.. apa nih.. muscular...

But from my personal observation men are more concern about their look and appearance more than women nowdays... men tend to be more concern about their hair, face, bodyshape and also about their attire.... agaknya kenapa makeup artist paling femes jantan bukan fomfuan? [hayooo berani maut nyer statement nih]

Tapi rasanya pompuan sukar untuk jaga badan sebab perubahan hormone yang selalu bertukar-tukar kan? kan? kan? betul ker? Adakah itu menyebabkan mereka malas nak jaga badan? Huu huu matilah statement.. kena petirrrr aku... habis lepas nih kena banned daripada masuk blog-blog wanita semua....[gurau senda yer]

The Movie, Lunch And Dinner

Since last week I really wanted to watch this movie. Today after finished from the office I went to the city to catch with the show. Managed to secure 5.15pm show. When I entered the cinema it was only few of us which was less then 10 people and I though maybe because its already one week since the first show.

At first my focus still on the screen and waiting for next things to happen. But it really disappointed me because there was nothing that thrill me.. the story line was so predictable, the amateur style shooting was badly portrayed.. . I was not concentrating on the story line but my mind busy adjusting the camera movement which was too much... The worst part was.... the movie end suddenly... If I were to give how many star... I will say zero... ilek...

Before the movie I managed to grabbed some lunch. I had a crab sticks and calamari rings. Then while waiting for the show, I went to Esprit Boutique. I saw a nice sling bag that look almost like my CK sling bag. The price was also cheap 50 bucks...

Then my dinner was sushi. One thing about the sushi here is they are bigger. Its almost as big as California roll. The smaller sushi called maki. Surprisingly this is one of the favorite meals either for lunch or dinner for many Australian... Is that mean that they re so Asian now?

Priscilla The Queen of the Desert

This musical theater has been on the show in Melbourne for a few month already. And now they are extending the show again and it is for the second time! So I believe it must be very good. I haven't got any chance to see the show but I am sure I will go sometime this month.

The Musical is based on the Oscar-winning film that blitzed the box office and caused a sensation around the world. Its fun, daring, over-the-top and unforgettable. It features amazing live performances of the great songs from the film including I Will Survive, Finally and Shake Your Groove Thing.

Some said the most amazing this about this theater is the glittering costume that they use! Hmm I wonder how it looks... Just see the poster will make you drool to see this famous performance.

Missing Watch

I lost one of my watch. The Esprit with a chocolate face dial. Not sure where do I put it.... The last time I saw it was 2 month back. I seldom wear it because that is one of my favourite watch so I don't want it get scratch. Most of the time I wear my Timex Expedition because this watch is very durable, reliable and tough.

I still keep my Bonia watch that I bought in Langkawi about 10 years ago and my Tag Heuer too. But my longest serving watch is Bulova given to me by VVIP while he was studying in the US, and I still keep that watch and still in a pristine condition. Bila dah ada banyak jam kadang pi mana-mana tak pakai pun... some of it with a dead battery.. need to replace the battery soon before it spoil the watch.

Twinkle-Twinkle Little Star!

This entry is basically to response to some of my blog reader about all the photo I took. Yes I can say that most of the photos taken was using DSLR camera. But it doesn't mean that I never use any compact digital camera.

So entry hari ni nak tunjuk bahawa pakai camera biasa pun buleh ambil gambar yang cantik-cantik.. as long as kita tau tricks dia. Pertama kalau buleh avoid la guna flash yer. Tak semestinya guna flash, but try to play dengan setting dalam camera tu.. Kalau suasana gelap.. set camera ke night mode dan adjust white balance.

Selain daripada itu cari angle-angle yang menarik untuk shoot... and pastikan kalau shoot sesuatu subject matters tuh shoot lah at least 3 ke 4 shot.. then nanti bila download leh pilih mana yang lebih baik.

Ok selamat mencuba... Oh yer hari ni saya main dengan Starfish sajokkkk... geliiii siot bila dia lekat kat tangan....

Steamed Fish Recipe

Lama aku tak letak resipi kan. So hari ni aku nak kongsi lah resipi simple dinner aku. Sesuai untuk mereka-mereka yang tak ada masa nak masak lama-lama kan. Ye lah kan memasing busy.. semua nak terkejar-kejar. So resipi hari ni memang simple lah sesangat dan sedap dimakan.

Ha mari kita mulakan yer..

Bahan-bahan:

1. Fish fillet - tak kira ikan apa yer janji jangan yang oily seperti salmon or tuna
2. Lemon grass
3. Lemon juice
4. Bird chillie
5. Salt and pepper
6. Fish sauce
7. mushroom
8. butter
9. Aluminium foil (microwave safe)

Cara menyediakan:

1. Sediakan aluminium foil dan letakkan ikan tadi
2. Letakkan lemon juice, titikkan serai dan hirisan cili tadi
3. Season with fish sauce (sedikit saja)
4. Letakkan butter sedikit yer

Then bungkus ikan rapat-rapat. Kemudian buatkan lubang di atas aluminium foil dengan fork. Masukkan microwave ke tahap suhu tinggi selama 5 minit yer. Kalau portion ikan besar then lama sedikit lah. Biarkan sampai masak

Then at the same time hiris nipis-nipis mushroom and sautée [betul ker ejaan aku ni] dengan butter dlm pan sehingga masak. Season with salt and pepper.

Then bila dah siap leh lah ngapp yer panas-panas.. yumm yumm..Ha senang kan? So tak de lah reason kata tak nak masak malam ni yer akak-akak semua.

I had promise one of my blogger reader last few months about giving away my unused perfume, but I haven't got time to pack and send it to her. So I need to do this long delay thingy before the end of the month.

After a head banging this morning, I had my evening walk and this time I captured the night scene of the city from my favourite spot. The city look fantastic with all different neon lights lit the sky.

Not every day I can see this and only in summer where the day is a bit longer. Tonight the sky is very clear and not even a tiny cloud spotted.

Jurassic Park

Have you seen a jewelery made from Amber? The one like in a Jurassic Park movie where the scientist extract the dinosaur DNA from a preserved mosquito that trapped in an Amber? I saw this beautiful jewelery made from a cut Amber in Melbourne Central. They made a various jewelery such as pendants, rings, bangles, earrings, bracelets and etc...

The price of this jewelery will depend on how unique the Amber's pattern. Very interesting isn't it? The price is very reasonable... but do not think that you will find a mosquito with the dinosaur DNA in it... :)

Calvin Klein Jeans

Penat dah jenjalan tunjuk tempat-tempat menarik. Time to indulge myself with shopping.... I bought this sling bag from Calvin Klein for 54AUD after 40% less. But thats about it lah... lagipun dah pertengahan bulan. Duit dah mula surut. Some more I need to save some money for my next travel.... Where will I go at the end of this month? Nanti I upload gambar-gambar ok. Maybe Pulau Pangkor and Makassar? Never been to this place...

Desktop ku yang bukan gambar ku ek

Alamakkkk... hari ni aku kena 'Tag' dengan 'cHiQuE's'... Tak tau nak cakap apa pasal my desktop ni.. Frankly I never use my own photos to be as my desktop background.... Usually I pakai Window default ajer.. But this desktop background ni dah lama aku pakai yer.. dah dekat setahun tak tukar-tukar.. ha ada sebabnya yer Cik 'cHiQuE's'... aku ni memang penggemar Olympus.. The reason... Olympus is always a pioneer in camera technology walaupun namanya tak segah Nikon atau Canon.. But segala asal usul SLR camera ni datang nya dari Olympus lah... OM-3 ni antara camera kegemaran photography National Geographic masa zaman kegemilangannya.

Then aku suka gambo ni sebab aku dok cari kamera ni tapi tak jumpa-jumpa. It become collectible items plak dah.

Red Rock at Half Moon Bay

One of the attraction at Half Moon Bay is this rock formation. Not sure why they called it Red Rock but the rock will look reddish in the evening because of the sunset reflection. It reminds me of Great Ocean Road but this one is just a small area at Half Moon Bay. The view is breathtaking from here. The sunset view is beautiful and if the weather is good like this we can see the other part of the bay (Portsea)

Another thing that you cannot missed is the sunset at Half Moon Bay. The ocean line is clear from any obstacles.... you can see the sunset clearly. For an enthusiast photographer... you need a wide angle lens and super telephotos for this. But the other view that is so .... cannot be reveal... ahaksss. Basically there are so many places that we can go around Melbourne.. and it only cost you a train tickets. And I am going to explore more interesting place in a future...
