wilsons promontory

Since this place kind of huge and most of the place require a long walk to reach, I managed just to visit few places along the way. And one place that I spent most was the Whisky Bay. This is a beautiful beach with big rocks formation. The view is just stunning especially from the bay itself or from the Norman Lookout. This is a must place to visit because it location. Only 300 meters walk from the car park.

I didn't put so much on other thing in this place because the geo formation is almost similar to the Grampians National Park that I have visited last year.

whisky bay
300 meters walk.. the nearest point of interest amongst all...

Whisky Bay
Sunset at Whisky Bay.. beautiful sun reflection on the beach

Whisky Bay
This shot was taken when the sun fully set and I used a long exposure. The effect is the water became soft almost like a fog and the color became uniform with less contrast and less saturated.. the time was 7.00pm and it was already dark ..

Whisky BayWhisky Bay from the top of rocks formation.. Frankly it reminds me some of the beaches back home..

Whisky Bay
The only thing that I missed on the day was the proper sunset view because the cloudy evening and a bit of shower

Whisky Bay
The only sunset I managet to capture before the rain started. Actually I want to capture the total sunset with a bit of long exposure so I can capture a beautiful redish color...

Whiskys Bay
Beautiful rocks formation.. see the redish colour on the rocks... stunning!

Wilsons Promontory
Last stop and one of my wish list tercapai.. so next trips probaby Mildura...

lunch
Since this was unplanned escapade, the only lunch pack I have was a can 0f spaghetti.. yummmm! yuckkkk!

Millers Landing At Wilsons Promontory

First stop was at Millers Landing. This was a 1.3 km walk to the vast and beautiful secluded beach. Not suitable for alone journey since the path to the beach is very quiet and there is no way you can ask for help if anything happen. But the most enjoyable moment was when I can see the vast sandy beach with a blue and clear sky infront of me.

I captured lots of photos but my camera just struggling with the bright sunny environment. It lost the dynamic range capability.

Unplanned Escapade

This was unplanned escapade.. Went to the city on Sunday morning and I ended up at Budget Rent A Car. Then I headed to Wilsons Promontory National Park. This was 3 hours journey. If adventures is a kind of activity we like then this is the best place to do some endurance.... Most of the place need to be access by foot.... More photos and the whole story of my weekend escapade soon

The Edge At Eureka Skydeck

This is my second visit to Eureka Skydeck but my first to experienced The Edge. This is where they brought me out 3 meters out of the building in a glass cube at the height of 88th floor.

The feeling is a mixed... with a glass floor I can see a tiny car below me. With the wind blow quite strong I can feel the shake and the sway of the building! Hmmm.... nak buat lagi tak? maybe not.. cukup la kan...

My New Hangout Place

Since Magnation open up a new store near where I live this is become my new hangout place after spending the whole day at school. Usually I will go to Borders at Jam Factory. But this one is nearer and just 7 minutes walk from my house.

Magnation is actually a magazine store selling all sort of magazines plus a cafe where you can enjoy reading all those magazine while having a coffee. Besides, they provide a free internet service. Not like Starbux where they charge you 4AUD for 15 minutes.

So this is my new hangout place after 4pm everyday... I will stay here till the shop closed while enjoying my Cuppacino, magazines, books and surfing the net.

For anyone who couldn't find me.. this is my cosy spot... :P

magnation
So many magazines and books to choose from.. you name it...

Coffee, magazines, books, internet... whatelse you need... all is here in one roof

Last Night and Today

Yesterday I managed to multitask myself. I managed to prepare a quick dinner. Studying, cooking, cleaning, doing laundry etc

Tanpa melengahkan masa terus masukkan balik lamb cutlet and I decided to prepare some Sambal Tumis Telur with Nasi Himpit disebabkan nampak gambar telur sambal tumis on the net.

Quick Dinner

Then today I had a quick lunch at The Coffee Club after spending my whole day at school. A bit nervous with the presentation tomorrow.

Quick lunch before went back to school. (Photos taken using Olympus Fe210 Compact Camera)

Malim: The different between both photos is the DOF and not so much of the image quality because the above photo was taken using ISO400 and below was ISO100. Both was taken with a macro mode. The above was taken at night and the latter taken in the afternoon.

Eye Test

eye test
Eye test is not free in this aussieland, luckily I can claim from my OSHC

Had an eye test last Friday after a series of eye strained and low vision symptoms. Luckily nothing happen to both of my eyes. 3 test was performed: the sighted test, tonometry and dilation and computerized perimetry.

Today another computerized perimetry test will be conducted. I hope my score would be at least 22 points as the previous score was only 18 points which was below that a minimum requirement. I was given a liquigel eye drop to lubricate my eyes as she suspected that I have a severe dry eyes.

Bela Rambut

I never grow my hair long.. if this is going to be the day, then I will try to hold as long as I can before I start to get 'rimas'. Hair style does make you look different and I would like to see how do I look when I have a long hair..... may be as long as Anuar Zain's hair would be nice, or Faizal Tahir.. huu huu perasan ler aku leh bela rambut panjang.. silap-silap next week aku potong short..

Another thing for today, I am busy finishing this book for my paper protptype. Part of my research is to design and test the prototype. I am going to test various warning sign or visual with different style such as visual alone, visual with text etc. The purpose of this test is to find out which visual would communicate effectively.

One Year And Left Handers Day

It has been a year and 14 days I have been blogging, and I have seen and experience so many thing since then. I have met so many cyber people and also I have met so many people here in Melbourne. The only thing yang I tak tau ialah why some people do talk about you even though you not even know them.. never met even... so pelik lah kan... Ada tuh suka bertanya orang ke sana ke mari pasal orang sedangkan diri sendiri pun orang tak suka...

first perfume
I bought this perfume to remind me that this was my first perfume when I got my first salary back in 1994...

I born as a left handed person. Because of that my mom and my late grandma always said that left handed was not good. I use my left hand for almost everything. in the early stage Basically I am pure 100% left handed. As left handed considered not a good sign.. my mom and my late grandma always ask me to use my right hand for other things such as eating and so on. They even tied my left hand at one time.

As I grew up I develop a unique skill where I can use both of my left and right hand equally. I can write using both of my hand. When I am eating using my hand I will use my right hand but if I am using a spoon I will use my left hand instead.

But there are few things that I only can handle either using my left or right hand. If I am using a knife I will always hold the knife using my left hand and if I am using a scissor I will always use my right hand. There are so many thing that I can use both of my hand and there are other thing that I can only use either hand.

So looking at the illustration above, people can see the way my brain works.. I use both of the hemisphere of my brain...So do you think I am left handed person or right handed? Or I am neither one..

Left-Handers' Day

Article taken from www.lefthandersday.com

No-one has come up with a definitive reason for WHY some people are left-handed, but about 13% of the population around the world are, and it is thought to be genetic - it definitely runs in families. Researchers have recently located a gene they believe "makes it possible to have a left-handed child " so if you have that gene, one or more of your children may be left-handed, whereas without it, you will only have right-handers - sorry! The good news is, that if you are left-handed yourself, you have that gene and will pass it on through the generations!

The way the brain works is incredibly complex, but this simplified explanation will give you some understanding of where our left-hand dominance comes from. The brain is "cross-wired" so that the left hemisphere controls the right handed side of the body and vice-versa and hand dominance is connected with brain dominance on the opposite side - which is why we say that only left-handers are in their right minds!

Brain organisation left hemisphere and right hemisphere

The left hemisphere (RIGHT HAND CONTROL) controls Speech, Language, Writing, Logic, Mathematics, Science, this is the LINEAR THINKING MODE.

The right hemisphere (LEFT HAND CONTROL) controls Music, Art, Creativity, Perception, Emotions, Genius, this is the HOLISTIC THINKING MODE

The Little Finger

Friend always told me that seeing his kid after a long day work is the best in his life. And usually I will just node and smile because I don't have one. But having a chance to meet this little fella last week really open up my eyes...

Memang rupanya bila kita tengok gelagat kanak-kanak sekecil ni boleh menghilangkan kegusaran and kepenatan dalam hidup. Patutlah anak itu di kategorikan sebahagian daripada rezeki Allah.

Cleland Wildlife Park (08.08.08)

koala hugingThe last place we visited in South Australia was the Cleland Wildlife Park and the Lofty Mountain. This is my first time get to hold a koala and my 3rd time to get close to kangaroo. The koala encounters was a life time experience. Everyone enjoyed the time here. The waiting was worthwhile. 15AUD for a shot of me and the koala is priceless.

There was one incident though that make me more careful next time. On my way out I bought a bottle of drink and left my camera on the counter. I only realized that I don't have my camera with me 15 minutes later. Luckily the camera was still there. Thank God.. not the camera that I am worried about but the precious photos inside...
